Last Week to Register for the 2023 NCWN Fall Conference

Registration for this year’s Fall Conference, November 3 – 5 in Charlotte, closes at midnight on Friday, October 27, if you’re registering online.

(Registration by phone or mail closes at 4 pm that day.)

The conference will begin Friday, November 3, with a keynote address and book signing by Tommy Tomlinson, longtime Charlotte Observer columnist and author of the acclaimed memoir The Elephant in the Room: One Fat Man’s Quest to Get Smaller in a Growing America.

It will continue the following morning with an “All Stories Connect” panel discussion on “Writing as a Vehicle for Social Change,” leading into the first of five sessions of classes and workshops.

Other highlights include the luncheon featuring a panel discussion on “Digging Up Buried Stories,” the Faculty and Open-Mic Readings, and Sunday morning’s “Agents & Editors” panel discussion.

This year’s Fall Conference also will include our first interactive Saturday Literary Mystery, with registrants answering trivia questions and deciphering clues to find a stolen volume by Charlotte author and NC Literary Hall of Fame inductee W. J. Cash.

To be there you must register by Friday, October 27, one week from today.

Whatever your level of skill or experience, whatever your writing goals, wherever you write from, we want you in our writing community, and we hope to see you at the Fall Conference.
