Proof of Vaccination Required for NCWN 2021 Fall Conference Attendees

When the North Carolina Writers’ Network hosts the NCWN 2021 Fall Conference, November 19-21 in Durham/RTP, they’ll welcome writers from across the state and beyond to gather in community, in-person, as safely and responsibly as possible.

To that end, NCWN will require all conference registrants, faculty, and exhibitors to provide proof of vaccination when they arrive at the conference venue.

NCWN invites registrants to submit their proof of vaccination to conference organizers now, prior to the conference, so that attendees can spend more time enjoying the weekend and less time showing their vaccination cards.

After someone registers for the conference, they should send an unaltered photo of their vaccination card—front and back—as a PDF or JPG attachment to mail@ncwriters.org, no later than Friday, November 12.

Once NCWN confirms proof of an attendee’s vaccination, they will delete the attendee’s e-mail with the required attachments and have the attendee’s conference materials ready when they arrive at the Sheraton Imperial in Durham/RTP on November 19.

Registrants who do not submit their proof of vaccination in advance will need to wait at the “Proof of Vaccination Station” and show their card and photo ID before being able to check in to the conference.

Conference registration is open.

The 2021 Fall Conference comes with unprecedented challenges, needs, and concerns. The NCWN staff and board will do everything they can to minimize those and make this conference as enjoyable and safe as possible.
